      Position Summary: Directly supervise clients while assisting psychiatric providers with client health history/assessment at psychiatric appointments. Rooming of clients prior to provider appointments. Provide brief health screenings to program clients to determine appropriate linkages to primary care and work closely with their Primary Care Provider (or arrange for PCP assignment). Provide continuity of program services in an ethical, legal, and moral manner within a safe and therapeutic environment, consistent with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards.

      Qualifications/Basic Job Requirements:

      • High School Diploma or GED and demonstrated addiction treatment experience or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience

      • Possess a CNA, CMA, EMT certification, or higher

      • Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid training complete within three months

      • Basic proficiency in computer use, including navigating operating systems, utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, and managing files and documentation

      • Skilled in behavioral management techniques

      • Ability to lead discussion and educational presentations

      • Valid driver's license and ability to meet agency insurance requirements

      Essential Responsibilities:

      1. Work hours prescribed by leadership and any additional hours deemed necessary for the responsibilities assigned.

      2. Conduct client health history/assessment and report to psychiatric provider prior to appointment.

      3. Assist with vital signs assessments and communicate with clients with ongoing medical concerns.

      4. Monitor and document client’s response to medication and report any notable response immediately.

      5. Act as an advocate for all clients and report any physical/psychological concerns to the medical and clinical staff.

      6. Provide client education in individual and group settings on topics including: medications, physical health, mental health and alcohol and substance abuse issues.

      7. Schedule clients follow up medical appointments if necessary.

      8. Document pertinent information in the electronic health record based on observations and involvement with the clients.

      9. Attend all scheduled meetings of staff, such as nursing meetings, department meetings, or appropriate committee meetings as designated.

      10. Understand and comply with all the principles established by the Rosecrance Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Conduct and HIPAA regulations.

      11. Deliver exceptional customer service consistently to every customer.

      12. Serve as a role model for other staff, clients, and customers.

      13. Demonstrate positive guest relations in representing Rosecrance.

      14. Assume other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned by leadership.

      Schedule: Part-Time (20hrs) Tuesday- Friday 10:00 am-6:00pm

      Starting Pay: Based on education, experience and credentials

      • $18.93

      Work Location: Onsite
