      Job summary

      We are looking to recruit an Practice Nurse who is highly motivated, dynamic and proactive to join our nursing team for approx. 14 hours per week, there is flexibility in the number of hours and days worked.

      Main duties of the job

      To provide general nursing duties such as:

      • Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by the GPs
      • Cytology
      • Wound care
      • Removal of Sutures
      • Travel Clinic
      • ECGs
      • Venepuncture
      • Health promotion
      • Ear syringing
      • Routine immunisations/Childhood immunisations

      About us

      Hazelmere Medical Centre is an established practice situated in Blaby and has a list size of approximately 7500 patients. We are a well-established teaching and training practice.

      You would be joining our friendly and supportive team of 3 GP partners, 2 salaried GPs, 2 Practice Nurse and Specialist HCA.

      We are a friendly high achieving practice with high quality standards and high patient satisfaction.

      • Experience of working in accordance with the NMC Code of Professional Conduct (2002) and The Scope of Professional Practice (1992)
      • Experience of dealing with the public/patients
      • Experience of working in Primary Care

      • Experience of SystmOne clinical system
      • Experience of Microsoft Office software
