What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Manage a high volume of incoming and outbound contacts via calls, emails, and chat from patients
- Provide support for patients navigating the MyChart patient portal, including account activation and password resets
- Maintain accurate data entry and documentation of all interactions in compliance with established standards
- Communicate professionally with patients, healthcare providers, and BJC staff to ensure a high level of customer service
- Support hospital marketing efforts by directing referrals and providing information on services and events
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or GED
- No previous work experience required
- Must be available to work scheduled shifts punctually
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally in various formats
- Commitment to maintaining patient privacy and adhering to HIPAA regulations
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a customer service role, particularly in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems
- Previous use of patient portals or similar technology
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of community health resources and services
