What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Receive and process search requests from domestic and international transplant centers and registries
- Utilize the NCBP Websearch application to complete searches and coordinate cord blood unit reservations
- Provide training, updates, and support to Websearch users
- Maintain communication with transplant centers and registries as a liaison for cord blood unit-related inquiries
- Develop and improve processes, including the preparation of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of three years of experience in a health-related field with high customer/patient contact
- Knowledge of computerized systems and basic biology, including some HLA-related knowledge
- Strong attention to detail and high level of interpersonal skills to handle complex issues
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively in diverse settings
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience working with transplant centers or registries
- Familiarity with HLA typing and its implications in transplant medicine
- Proven ability to juggle multiple competing tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs)
