- Prior child care experience
- Flexible and organized, not afraid to take initiative or try new things
- Driving license/clean driving history; expectation to drive the boys to and from summer activities. You will need your own vehicle even though we will provide one much of the time (not all).
- Ability to meal plan and prepare basic snacks/meals
- Fun and creative -- the boys love to laugh and be silly
- CPR certified (preferred)
Department Overview:
Family of 4 in west Madison. Pet free home near Capital City bike trail. Easy access to downtown, UW, Middleton, Westside, Verona and Fitchburg.

7/31/24 Anticipated Hours Per Week
12 to 15 Schedule:
June 10 - July 31, 2024 only. No help needed when boys are at camp July 1-12
Hours are 8am-3/4pm on Tuesdays, Wednesdays 9am-2/3pm. Could consider Mon instead of Wednesday if needed.
Possibility of additional hours in June and/or days in late August if desired.
Salary/Wage Range:
Hourly $15.00 to $18.00 Number Of Positions
1 Position Summary/Job Duties:
We are looking for a fun, active, and outgoing summer sitter for our 10-year-old son, and to a much lesser extent his 12 yr old brother. Hours are 8am-3/4pm on Tuesdays, with occasional Wednesdays 9am-2/3pm. The boys are fairly self-directed, except need a little help with lunch and neither child can drive to all the places they want to go.
This is perfect for someone who wants some extra summer work hours.
We live on the southwest side of Madison and you must have a car to get here, although we have lots of bikes and are near many paths. We are Ridgewood Pool members and you would be included in the membership.
