The incumbent is responsible for providing comprehensive service and support to all registered students with disabilities in need of accommodated test/exams. The incumbent must explain and clarify Test Services policy and procedure regarding tests and exams, often referring students and staff to other CAL resources;
The incumbent must have knowledge of testing policies and procedures to assist students requesting testing accommodations. The incumbent receives test/exams from faculty across the college and follows up with academic departmental representatives when the test is not provided or the faculty member has not dropped the test off in a timely manner;
Ensures students with disabilities have access to Assistive Technology (Dragon Naturally Speaking, Read and Write, Natural Reader, Zoomtext, JAWS) and computer support for tests and exams as required;
Provides administrative support to the Test Services Coordinator and at times in the Centre for Accessible Learning;
Other duties as assigned.
Minimum two (2) year diploma or equivalent in Office Administration or related field of study.
Minimum two (2) of years’ experience in a Test Services facility in a post-secondary environment which includes the following:
Comprehensive experience in working with persons who have disabilities in an educational setting.
Work experience in a complex detail-oriented, customer service driven, computerized office setting.
Experience in Microsoft Office and/or certification in Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
Office experience with a client database such as Clockwork
Experience with Assistive Technologies an asset
24 hours/week
This position is 9-months per year positions with an annual seasonal layoff up to three (3) months.

Job Description:
Reporting to the Manager, Testing Services, the incumbent provides supervision for students writing tests and exams at Centre for Accessible Learning (CAL) Test Services and is responsible to set a positive, professional tone as well as display the College's core values of “Caring, Learning, Integrity and Respect” in all interactions with CAL clients. The incumbent informs students and faculty about CAL Test Services policies and procedures with certainty in a knowledgeable and comprehensive manner. This individual invigilates tests and exams for both new applicants and current students with disabilities.
The incumbent responds to a wide variety of external and in-person, telephone and email inquiries and provides information on testing services to students, booking deadlines, courses, and other activities and services offered by the College as they relate to testing with accommodations.
The incumbent ensures Test Services is a quiet and safe environment. All disability-related accommodations are put into place in this setting by the Proctor. The incumbent ensures the set up and troubleshooting of individual tests and exams is carried out each day. The incumbent will also provide selected administrative support for the Test Services Coordinator and Centre for Accessible Learning. The CAL Test Services Proctor has a working knowledge of the CAL Database (Clockwork) and is required to support first time users in navigating the On-Line Test Booking System.
