      At PwC, our people in tax services focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on tax planning, compliance, and strategy. These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.

      Those in tax compliance at PwC will focus on validating clients' compliance with tax laws and regulations. You will review and analyse financial data, prepare and file tax returns, and assist businesses in meeting their tax obligations while minimising risks of non-compliance.

      Focused on relationships, you are building meaningful client connections, and learning how to manage and inspire others. Navigating increasingly complex situations, you are growing your personal brand, deepening technical expertise and awareness of your strengths. You are expected to anticipate the needs of your teams and clients, and to deliver quality. Embracing increased ambiguity, you are comfortable when the path forward isn’t clear, you ask questions, and you use these moments as opportunities to grow.

      The Opportunity
      As part of the Internal Tax team you understand federal tax laws and associated regulations, partnership and international tax concepts, and perform tax research using various platforms. As a Senior Associate you analyze complex problems, mentor others, and maintain top standards. You build client relationships, develop a deeper understanding of the business context, and navigate increasingly complex situations to deliver quality work and grow your personal brand.

      Responsibilities
      - Understand federal tax laws and regulations
      - Grasp partnership and international tax concepts
      - Perform tax research using various platforms
      - Analyze complex tax problems and provide solutions
      - Mentor and guide junior team members
      - Maintain top standards in every deliverable
      - Build and nurture client relationships
      - Develop a thorough understanding of the business context

      What You Must Have
      - Bachelor's Degree
      - 2 years of experience

      What Sets You Apart
      - Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Law preferred
      - CPA, Member of the Bar
      - Understanding federal tax laws and associated regulations
      - Having specific knowledge of partnership and international tax concepts
      - Understanding tax research using a variety of research platforms
      - Documenting positions taken on complex tax issues
      - Understanding tax consulting and planning
      - Understanding due diligence
      - Automation & digitization in a professional services environment

      The salary range for this position is: $54,000 - $184,500, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
