- Acts as the Program Officer for the Special Opportunity fund, serving as portfolio manager for deploying strategic grants and non-grant support that sit outside of or across the four grantmaking initiatives.
- Works closely with the Director, Partnerships & Operations and CPO on expanding the Philanthropies team’s engagement with leading faith, policy, and civic leaders in New York City.
- Cultivates and maintains external engagement contacts and outreach strategies for the CPO, especially faith and philanthropic leaders in New York City.
- Prepares weekly reports from Philanthropies to the Rector and Senior Management Team at Trinity.
- Leads strategy and development of quarterly Philanthropies newsletter.
- Works across Trinity, especially with the Communications and Government Relations teams, on Philanthropies collateral and other external written products, including drafting and/or managing the preparation of web features, special announcements, grantee spotlights, and social media posts.
- Researches, synthesizes, and prepares content for CPO’s presentations.
- Prepares briefings for the CPO for meetings and events, as required.
- Supports internal communications helping stakeholders across the institution understand Philanthropies strategies and grantmaking.
- Coordinates site visits and virtual panels that demonstrate grantmaking strategy and progress to board members, senior leaders, and external partners.
- Facilitates collaboration across the Philanthropies team and with other departments, such as Communications, IT, Finance, and Legal.
- Takes on other strategic projects and responsibilities related to the Office of the Chief Philanthropy Officer, as required.

- A minimum of five years of administrative, communications, policy, or program experience.
- Bachelor’s degree, or the equivalent combination of training and/or work experience.
- Knowledge of and experience in nonprofit organizations, the philanthropic sector, local government, and/or faith institutions.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Partnerships Officer supports the Office of the Chief Philanthropy Officer in Trinity Church Wall Street Philanthropies’ efforts to shape strategic issues in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Reporting to the Director, Partnerships & Operations, the Partnerships Officer will help coordinate across Trinity’s four grantmaking initiatives. The Partnerships Officer will serve as the lead program officer for special opportunity grants, collaborate on external communications, and support the Chief Philanthropy Officer’s research and writing needs.
The annual salary range for this position is $115,700 to $129,000. Cover Letter is required with your application.
