Job Description

- Promptly and accurately monitor, count and record the plant’s inventory of all supplies, parts and materials
- Coordinate the prompt and accurate order and purchase of all supplies, parts and materials for the plant according to company policies and procedures
- Establish, maintain, and regularly use a computerized maintenance management system (MVP) to track inventory, work orders, spare parts, maintenance history of plant equipment, and minimum/maximum numbers of parts for reorder.
- Coordinate the distribution process for the plant, including the pick-up and restocking of incoming supplies, parts, and materials
- Direct appropriate paperwork, including packing slips, return information, and purchase orders to Accounting for proper invoicing and record-keeping.
- Manage the work order and purchase order processes including maintaining and issuing an outstanding purchase order list weekly for all items not received and working with other personnel to ensure that all purchasing-related recordkeeping is complete and timely
- Assist the Maintenance Manager in managing the Maintenance Department operating budget to ensure compliance with stated budgetary goals
- Constantly monitor pricing for opportunities on cost improvement
- Maintain alternative sourcing for best pricing and unanticipated supply disruptions
- Assist with end of month closing and maintenance purchasing account balances
- Provides input to appropriate leadership personnel regarding suggestions or methods that will improve plant maintenance and purchasing record keeping processes and procedures
- Coordinate all employee functions and special events including ordering meals and making any necessary travel arrangements
- Regular and predictable attendance, including attending all plant meetings
- Attend all Plant Meetings
- Perform office and clerical responsibilities as required to support the effectiveness of the maintenance department
- Complete and distribute appropriate reports when required or as needed
- Additional duties as assigned
- High school diploma or GED; preferred college degree
- Two years purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Preferred that employees have prior work experience in the corrugated industry or other 2-4 years’ work experience
- Clear, concise oral and written communication skills
- Computer Literate, specifically Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, manuals, and contracts
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and employees of the company
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, volume, and net present value
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form

The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is currently seeking a Parts Clerk for our 1st shift to support our Seymour, IN facility. As a Parts Clerk, you will be responsible for all production (manufacturing) related to purchasing supplies, parts and materials.
1st Shift Hours are Monday - Thursday from 6:00am-4:30pm
