      We are now seeking passionate Pashto/Dari linguists to join our team and provide vital translation and interpretation services for the Department of State's Afghan Relocation Effort Program in Doha, Qatar. This is an opportunity to leverage your language skills to make a real impact on a large-scale global initiative.

      About the Role

      As a Pashto/Dari Translator, you will play a crucial role in facilitating communication between Afghan guests, U.S. officials, and military personnel. Your responsibilities will include:

      • Providing accurate, timely translations and interpretations between English and Pashto/Dari
      • Assisting with document translation for logistical and administrative needs
      • Supporting open communication across linguistic barriers

      The Living Situation

      This contracted position is based in Doha, with private bedroom/bathroom accommodations provided in a comfortable villa just minutes from the work site.

      Requirements


      Your Qualifications

      We are seeking applicants who meet the following essential requirements:

      • U.S. Citizenship and minimum MRPT qualified
      • Fluency in English, Pashto, and Dari with certified proficiency ratings (3/3/3/3 SLRW)
      • Minimum 3 years of translation/interpretation experience
      • Ability to type 35+ WPM and operate Microsoft Office Suite
      • Willingness to deploy to Doha, Qatar for the duration of the program

      In addition, your application will really stand out if you can demonstrate:

      • Prior experience supporting refugee populations or medical terminology
      • The drive to grow your skills through training opportunities
      • Strong communication abilities to liaison between diverse parties
