  Start your pastry career at Alila Ventana Big Sur, where you'll find both inspiration and training in our luxury resort kitchen. The Pastry Intern supports the pastry team with high-end baking and dessert preparation in a setting where creativity thrives.
  
  What You'll Learn:
  

  • Fundamentals of pastry prep, finishing techniques, and service
  • Food safety, kitchen sanitation, and ingredient handling
  • Rotation through daily operations of a high-volume pastry kitchen
  • Note: All culinary team members may be assigned to support any of our resort's food & beverage outlets based on business needs, including the main restaurant (breakfast, lunch, and dinner service), in-room dining, poolside service, and banquet events.

  Schedule - The shifts start around 5:30 am and 1:30 pm and are 8 hours in duration. We require schedule flexibility, including the willingness to work mornings and/or evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  
  The hourly pay for this position is $18 - $22/hour depending on experience. This is the pay range for this position at Alila Ventana Big Sur reasonably expects to pay. Decisions regarding individual pay rates will be based on a number of factors including experience and education.
