      Job Description

      As a Scientist II in Manufacturing Sciences, you will support the development and maintenance of manufacturing processes and PAT models for oral solid dosage (OSD) products in a continuous manufacturing (CM) environment. This role involves hands-on work within a GMP setting to support process performance, product quality, and documentation. A strong understanding of OSD unit operations and regulatory expectations is required. Experience or curiosity about Chemometrics, programming (Python, R, MATLAB), and process modeling is a plus.

      What will you do?

      • Support manufacturing process evaluations, investigations, and performance monitoring in a GMP-compliant environment

      • Contribute to data review and documentation for model-based and traditional process control strategies

      • Assist in the execution and documentation of activities related to model validation, process monitoring, and method transfer

      • Work cross-functionally with operations, quality, and process teams to support routine production and process optimization

      • Author and review technical documents such as batch records, protocols, and reports

      • Participate in client discussions and internal meetings as technical support

      Education

      Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, Chemistry, or a related scientific field is required. Master’s degree preferred.

      Experience

      • Minimum of 2 years of relevant industry experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or process development required (GMP setting)

      • Experience must include oral solid dosage (OSD) unit operations

      • Exposure to continuous manufacturing, PAT, or real-time monitoring is desirable

      Preferred Skills

      • Familiarity with Chemometrics or multivariate analysis (e.g., PCA, PLS)

      • Programming skills in Python, R, and/or MATLAB for data analysis

      • Understanding of process modeling tools and/or OSI PI systems is preferred

      • Strong organizational and documentation skills

      • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team-based environment

      Physical Requirements

      Position requires normal mobility to access office and production areas; ability to sit, stand, and use standard office equipment for extended periods; occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
