      Overview

This position is a part of the Patient Access Offsite team located here in Greater Peoria area. As a Patient Access Mission Partner, we strive to provide a great patient experience by using proper registration practices. Patient Access is often the first interactions a patient has when visiting an OSF facility. By our team completing the registration with patients, we can help the clinical team with accurate medical records, and the patient with processing their insurance claim. We also can offer patient financial assistance to lessen their burdens. As a Patient Access Mission Partner, we can provide welcoming hospitality to our patients and their loved ones.

      POSITION SUMMARY:

The Patient Access Associate ensures each registered patient has a complete and accurate OSF medical record, which includes patient demographics, insurance coverage, responsible guarantor and registration precision in a manner which they understand what services they are receiving, their financial responsibilities for the services provided, and expectations of them while at the facility. Excellent patient service skills are expected to create an exceptional first impression of OSF’s services to the patients, families, and other external patients over the phone or in person. A high degree of deductive reasoning and logic skills are necessary in order to solve issues that can arise in a complex, multi-payer situation.
