What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Perform insurance verification functions for assigned facilities and update encounters with eligibility and COB status
- Review bill hold worklists in the bill scrubber and resolve claims by updating SHCIS encounters
- Plan and organize work to ensure departmental and corporate goals are met
- Make recommendations for quality and efficiency improvements to the Corporate Manager of Patient Access
- Complete special projects as directed and demonstrate a positive professional image in all interactions
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance verification, authorization, medical billing, and utilization
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with Epic registration and scheduling
- High School Diploma or GED

- Experience working in a children's hospital setting
