      LGH is offering a sign-on bonus of $1,000 for a full-time Patient Access Representative position.

      As the Patient Access Representative, you will perform all tasks related to pre-registration and registration of patients in an efficient, accurate and professional manner to ensure that the patient, physician and hospital needs are met.

      Duties and Responsibilities:

      • Perform accurate registration and insurance verification, ensuring collection of all critical data elements necessary for proper patient identification for registration and billing.
      • Communicate in a professional, positive and respectful manner with patients and offices and provide consistent, excellent customer service in a variety of situations.
      • Complies with point-of-service cash collection, balancing, batching, and depositing in accordance with hospital policies.
      • Review error reports are provided and correct errors before the end of the shift.
      • Manage all incoming calls into the department and distribute them as necessary.
      • Complete other duties as assigned.

      Required:

      • High School diploma
      • Computer and typing experience
      • Customer service skills

      Preferred:

      • Prior experience working directly with the public in a healthcare patient access environment.
      • Prior knowledge of third-party insurance and medical terminology.
      • English/Spanish bilingual is preferred.
