What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Coordinate accurate scheduling of multiple outpatient diagnostic appointments across the health system
- Accept and prioritize incoming phone calls, triaging urgent procedure requests as necessary
- Schedule correct procedures and enter orders accurately into the clinical system
- Serve as a liaison for communication between patients, staff, and various departments
- Communicate changes to schedules effectively to maximize scheduling efficiency
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare environment, such as a hospital, physician office, or imaging facility
- Excellent communication, telephone, customer relations, and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks concurrently
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic business office equipment
