Job Description

- Provide consistent, friendly, and professional presence at the front desk.
- Assist all patients, visitors, and contractors to check-in and out of the building.
- Communicate with staff in all departments about arrival and departures of patients, visitors, and contractors
- Register, check-in, and schedule patients for services
- Gather required insurance, identification, legal documentation, and consents for registration into programs
- Support patients with accessing healthcare coverage
- Assist with monitoring patient charts for complete and thorough documentation needed for the authorization and billing process
- Submit documentation to insurance providers for authorization of services.

- Excellent customer service skills
- Knowledge of utilization review, insurance navigation, and authorization process
- Medical billing and Indiana Medicaid experience preferred
- Demonstrates professional behavior
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving skills and organizational skills
- Proficient in use of computer and internet-based technologies including Microsoft Office products
- Education: High School Diploma required. Associate or bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare related field preferred.
- Certificate or Professional License: None required. Certificate in Revenue Cycle or Utilization Management preferred. Navigator license preferred.
- Experience: Two (2) years of office and financial experience preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and active liability insurance.
- Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
This position will provide a positive and consistent patient experience for registration, utilization review, discharge planning, and administrative support for the Psychiatric Hospital and Crisis Receiving and Stabilization Services.Duties/Responsibilities:
