      Job Summary

      Under the supervision of the Nurse Manager or designate, functions as a member of the nursing team who assists in providing basic care under the direct supervision of a nurse. Also performs functional assignments defined by the Nurse Manager and which facilitate therapeutic services provided to patients.


      Qualifications

      Requires good verbal and written communication skills as well as good interpersonal skills necessary to deal with patients and staff. Work presents potential exposure to communicable disease and hazardous materials. Work requires moderate to heavy lifting of patients and equipment. Work requires that a majority of time is spent with either walking or standing. Certification as a Nursing Assistant and BLS preferred High school diploma or equivalent preferred
