      Position Summary:
      Support patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to enhance the quality of life for patients and families. Care is delivered in a manner appropriate to the age and needs of the population served.

      Key Responsibilities

      Direct Patient Care

      • Assist patients with daily needs: bathing, feeding, hygiene, and mobility

      • Monitor and report changes in patient condition

      • Support non-invasive procedures and patient monitoring

      • Help with admissions, discharges, and patient transfers

      • Respond to call lights and patient needs proactively

      Documentation & Charting

      • Accurately record vital signs and patient data

      • Track intake/output and assist with care planning

      Clerical Support

      • Greet and assist visitors and callers professionally

      • Process physician orders, maintain charts, and track supplies

      • Support unit management with administrative tasks

      Safety & Infection Control

      • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized care environment

      • Follow hospital policies on equipment, waste removal, and transport

      • Adhere to infection control and isolation protocols

      Qualifications

      • Experience: Prior healthcare or hospital experience preferred

      • Certification (any of the following):

        • Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)

        • Basic EMT Certification

        • Military Medic background

        • Nursing student with completed fundamentals in clinicals

      Additional Requirements

      • HIPAA Compliance: Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information

      • Safety Practices: Follow all hospital safety protocols, including PPE, incident reporting, and transport procedures

      • Physical Demands: Medium work (lifting 20–50 lbs occasionally; up to 25 lbs frequently)
