- Contact patients, pharmacists, and doctor's offices to resolve claims issues
- Process prescriptions (from intake to order completion)
- Resolve customer issues; ensuring accurate information is provided
- High school diploma/GED (or higher) or equivalent years of work experience
- 1+ years of healthcare experience
- 1+ years of call center and/or customer service experience
- Proficiency with computer and Windows PC applications including ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system application
- Ability to work full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
- Pharmacy Technician licensing and/or certification
- Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

As a Pharmacy Technician, you'll be responsible for answering incoming calls and completing outbound calls to/from patients, physicians and pharmacists while ensuring a high level of customer service and maximized productivity. Positions in this function are responsible for checking in, scheduling appointments, answering billing questions and managing patient medical records for a clinic. Roles may vary based on the size of the clinic(s).
This position is full-time, Monday - Friday. Employees are required to work our normal business hours of 7:00am – 7:00pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends.
We offer paid virtual training of 5 weeks plus 2 weeks nesting (making calls under supervision of SME). Training will be conducted virtually from your home.

Primary Responsibilities
This role is equally challenging and rewarding. You'll need to work within multiple computer systems simultaneously as you respond to questions or provide specific medication details/clinical information. It's a fast paced, high-volume environment where our members are counting on us to deliver these important, sometimes life-saving medications in an accurate and efficient manner.

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Washington or Rhode Island Residents Only: The salary range for California / Colorado / Connecticut / Nevada / New Jersey / Washington / Rhode Island residents is $16.00 - $31.44. The hourly range for New York residents is $16.00 - $31.44 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
