      We are hiring Patient Companions to float to all three of our locations, Banner Northern Colorado Medical Center in Greeley, CO, Banner Fort Collins Medical Center In Ft Collins, CO and Banner McKee Medical Center in Loveland, CO. You will be notified of the location 90 minutes before your shift starts.

      Current Opening: Full Time Day Shift available- working Three 12 hour shifts (6am-6:30pm). Enjoy a $5/hour night shift and $1.50 weekend shift differential when applicable.

      POSITION SUMMARY
      This position provides oversight to a patient or a group of patients. This can include but is not limited to sitting with the patient. This position is responsible to communicate with the Registered Nurse (RN) upon arrival and departure. The RN will provide instruction to this position as to the expectations and any pertinent patient information. This position will check in and out patient belongings. Will ensure the milieu is safe and secure at all times. Is aware of the patient's status and privilege level and reports any pertinent findings to the RN.

      CORE FUNCTIONS
      1. Follows a plan communicated by the RN when providing support services to patients.

      2. Communicates the services provided to the patient with the supervisor/Registered Nurse.

      3. Communicates changes in the patient's condition, environment or situation to the RN.

      4. Practices de-escalation techniques and intervenes early. Aware of personal characteristics that increase escalation of the patient.

      5. This position is accountable to provide safe de-escalations techniques and intervenes for all patients. The budgetary responsibility of the of this position is to effectively manage time by avoiding overtime, maintaining staffing band, The position is responsible for providing excellent customer service to a variety of internal and external customers

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
      High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge. Basic Cardiac Life Support, mandatory safety, hazardous materials, and infection control inservices will be included in orientation and required on a periodic basis.

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
      Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
