      Department Overview:

      Parent and former teacher seeking energetic, reliable young people who have an interest in furthering their career path by providing care and activities to enhance the life of her daughter. Lakeview Supportive Living is the employer providing the pay. Parent will do all the training. Prior care experience is not required, although valued. Former UW students have found this to be a remarkable opportunity.

      Caregiver 6 hr Rec worker 3 hr alternate weekends

      Schedule:

      Caregiver 6 hour shift 9:00 a.m.to 3:00 p.m. every other weekend

      Recreation Assistant shift 12:00 p.m.to 3:00 p.m. every other weekend

      Two separate posistions - will work together 12-3pm

      More hours are available upon request

      Salary/Wage Range:

      Hourly $18.75 to $18.75

      Position Summary/Job Duties:

      Both positions offer valuable experience in health fields, nursing, and education. Broaden your resume, gain patient contact hours and earn money at $18.75 hr. A car is necessary for both positions.

      Caregiver shift is 6 hours (9 a.m. to 3 p.m.)Saturday or Sunday every other weekend. The costs and travel reimbursement are covered when taking her outside the home for the suggested activities below. The recreation assistant will assist you for the activities.

      Recreation Assistant shift is 3 hours every other Saturday or Sunday (12 p.m. to 3 p.m.) Costs and travel reimbursement are covered when assisting a caregiver for fun activities outside the home, i.e. swimming, biking, bowling, community events, etc.

      Qualifications:

      Prior experience is not needed, although valued. Parent will train for both positions. A car is necessary for these positions. At least a year commitment would be appreciated.

      Physical Demands

      High energy and motivation to provide care and do suggested activities. Lift collapsible 25 lbs. wheelchair into car.
