      Shift/Hours: 2nd Shift 3pm-11:30pm, 40 hours weekly

      Benefit Eligible: Yes

      Expected Starting Salary: $21-25.75/hour + $4 shift differential

      Working as a Patient and Family Engagement Coordinator at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center you will:

      · Serve as liaison with the department for patient and family activities

      · Educate staff on basic family engagement principles

      · Use provided evaluation tools to evaluate family experiences and project outcomes

      · Acquire knowledge of best practices and effective strategies for partnership with patient and family partners. Share provided educational support to department members to help them understand the benefits of family engagement. Acts as a resource to the department in family-centered care

      · Demonstrate ability to work cooperatively and successfully with staff patients and families. Relate to diverse age and demographic backgrounds

      · Document engagement activities in a standard database. Provide reports as requested

      · Serve as a primary point of contact and provide assistance, information, and support to patients, families, and staff requesting information

      · Identify organizational resources that are available to address department needs. Disseminate information within the department. Anticipate needs and facilitate solutions to issues in collaboration with other patient family engagement specialists and department leaders.

      EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE


      Required:
      ·High school diploma or equivalent
      ·3+ years of work experience in a related job discipline
