What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Complete tasks in registration, financial screening, verification, and patient throughput to support the revenue cycle
- Meet individual collection goals while maintaining a close working relationship with the clinical team
- Present and explain legal, ethical, and compliance-related documents to patients during registration
- Deliver professional, compassionate, and friendly service to patients of all ages and their families
- Work effectively in a fast-paced public health or revenue cycle setting
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
- Completion of the Patient Access training course
- Experience in payment collection, billing, sales, or customer service
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree preferred
- Knowledge of healthcare regulatory guidelines including HIPAA, AHCA, and EMTALA
- Understanding of insurance contracts, collections, authorizations, and pre-certifications
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products and EMR applications
- Bilingual in English and Spanish/Creole
