      General Summary of Duties

      Christie Clinic's department of Business Services is seeking a full-time Patient Financial Representative/Administrative Coordinator at the Fields clinic from Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, with no night or weekend requirements.

      Duties include the performance of supervisory duties over the Central Registration department while working as a Patient Financial Representative position.

      Job Qualifications and Expectations


      JOB DUTIES: (This list may not include all of the duties assigned.)

      • Perform on a daily basis duty of Patient Financial Representative, as outline in job description.

      • Cross trains and perform, with expertise, all job functions within the department.

      • Possess comprehensive knowledge of electronic medical record and practice management systems, Microsoft Office Suite, Christie Clinic, LLC, and Business Services operations with specific emphasis on division functions.

      • Act as a time clock manager. Approves and submits time, approves staff member vacation and time off requests.

      • Interview prospective staff members. Oversee the training of new staff members.

      • Perform conflict control throughout the department.

      • Conducts and maintains Christie Leadership System within department.

      • Assist in creating and maintaining budget.

      • Completes and presents annual performance evaluations and ensure that employees are up to date on department policies and procedures.

      • Appease patient complaints.

      • Prevent distractions within the department and keep employees on task.

      • Oversee all operational functions, workload load assignments, cross training of duties to ensure adequate coverage within the department.

      • Attend meetings and sit on committees as requested by Manager.

      • Communicate areas of concern to the Business Services Manager.

      • Perform related work and other projects as required.

      REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • High School Diploma or equivalent

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      • Supervisory and training experience

      • Demonstrated skill set for meeting departmental job description requirements

      TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

      Demands include sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, stretching, and lifting. Hearing within, or correctable to, normal range, vision correctable to 20/20 and manual dexterity for the operation of office equipment is required. It is also necessary to view and type on computer screens for long periods.

      TYPICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:

      Work is performed in an office environment in a healthcare facility. Involves continuous contact with patients and staff in a demanding and fast-paced environment. Work may be stressful at times; interaction may be with angry or confrontational people. Contact involves dealing with sick people and contact with communicable disease. Requirements may include working irregular and overtime hours.

      PAY AND BENEFITS:

      The estimated pay range for this position is exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related criteria.
