- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons.
- Must possess and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain certification within three (3) months from date of hire.
- Writes, reads, comprehends and speaks fluent English.
- Microsoft Office – basic computer skills.
- Critical thinking skills using independent judgment in making decisions.
Overview
2 North is a 30 bed medical-surgical unit that provides acute care services to inpatients and observation patients. The unit specializes in Orthopedics, Gynecology, Urology, and Abdominal Surgery. 2N also can care for patients requiring remote telemetry. Our patient population includes pediatric, adolescent, adult and aging adult.

Responsibilities
Patient Mobility Specialist ensures patients are appropriately mobilized by assisting staff with ambulation, transfers and repositioning patients. Promotes employee and patient safety and mobility by assisting, modeling and educating staff and physicians on the appropriate method and manner of patient positioning and ambulation using proper lift equipment and technique.
