      Job Overview

      We at Fairview are looking for a member of the Patient Registration team at our Eden Prairie Clinic! This is a full time, 80 hours every two weeks, benefit eligible position.       The Eden Prairie location provides our patients with access to 9 different specialties and 19 different providers. With free parking and a number of amenities nearby, this site is always a desired location for both employees and patients.

      Our Patient Registration crew greets and welcomes patients into the clinic. The verify, register and schedule patients with accurately and efficiently. This includes verifying insurance and demographic information. This team also reviews and maintains patient accounts, secures financial arrangements on self-pay balances prior to and during patient appointments, and researches and facilitates patients questions and concerns.

      • Verifies patient insurance coverage, eligibility, contract group number, effective dates and coverage, accurate insurance, and billing address.
      • Advises patients of insurance coverage co pays or self-pay policy and documents in patient account for front desk staff.
      • Monitors patient balances on patient accounts and alerts patients of outstanding balances to ensure appropriate financial arrangements.
      • Actively participates in crafting and implementing improvements.
      • Answers in-coming calls from patients or internal team members to assist with patient care when the need emerges
      • Schedules appointments for patients with specified clinician according to scheduling guidelines and availability actively trying to accommodate all involved

      Preferred

      • Completion of medical terminology course or equivalent experience and education preferred.
