      Job summary

      The post holder will be expected to support the incident and serious incident elements of the work of the Corporate Nursing and Integrated Governance Team, ensuring there is robust application of Trust governance processes, policies and procedures.

      The main purpose of this role is to provide support for the organisation in the delivery of robust incident management process, learning from incident and the patient safety Incident response Framework by:

      Facilitating the incident reporting and management process

      Supporting the delivery of serious incident investigation process

      Supporting the wider work of the patient safety team

      Main duties of the job

      ToCommunicate with a range of contact's e.g. staff from other departments, external clients, patients and their families, concerning both routine and complex information, some of which may be confidential.

      ToProvide administrative support to the Patient Safety Team within set timescales and to a high standard of accuracy and presentation that will include

      Typing documents - letters, meeting notes, reports

      Processing correspondence, messages and emails - including emails from external organisations - ensuring incoming mail dealt with appropriately and forwarding of items requiring management attention

      Data inputting

      Developing and maintaining effective and efficient office systems including electronic filing

      Organising meetings as requested and providing administrative support for those meetings e.g. room bookings, taking minutes/meeting notes

      Data quality checking

      Providing support to staff users to ensure all queries are actioned, escalated or delegated as appropriate

      Support with training needs for all staff users

      Assisting with the external reporting to LFPSE (Learn from Patient Safety Events) reporting system

      Highlighting potential serious incidents with the Patient Safety Team as required

      System maintenance as required
