What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Maintain front office functions, including managing inbound calls and assisting callers professionally
- Schedule patient appointments and verify/update demographic information in EPIC
- Coordinate referrals and referral authorizations for clinic appointments
- Retrieve medical records and other medical information as requested
- Manage incoming faxes and route appropriately
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a healthcare setting
- Strong PC skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Prior experience in patient scheduling via electronic medical record system
- Familiarity with HIPAA guidelines
- Broad knowledge of medical practice front office operations and medical terminology
