Summary The Medi-Spa at Mercy, is a center for integrative care, offers a full-range of spa services to promote relaxation and healing. Our plastic and reconstruction surgeons and cancer doctors often refer patients to the Medi-Spa so their care can integrate treatment of the whole person – mind, body and spirit. Women turn to the The Medi-Spa at Mercy for relaxation and healing. The Medi-Spa offers massage and acupuncture and our licensed estheticians provide facials, chemical peels and microdermabrasion to help women feel restored and refreshed during and after the medical treatment process. The Medi Space is hiring a Front Desk Associate/Patient Service Associate! This person is responsible for greeting and registering patients when they enter the practice. They play a pivotal role in a positive patient experience, as they are the first person a patient will come in contact with when scheduling an appointment or arriving to the office. This position is located in our Weinburg Building downtown at Mercy Medical Center. Responsibilities The Patient Service Associate is responsible for all front desk operations, which include, but are not limited to: Scheduling patients Answering phones Scanning medical records Triage patient phone calls for severity/importance Collection of insurance information and verification or benefits Charge entry and payment posting Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a Medical Office is preferred but not required Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees Adapt to the changing needs of the organization, its patients and the market Actively contribute to a positive, congenial working environment Actively contribute to enhancing patient experienceEducation: High School Diploma or GED Previous experience in a Medical Office is preferred but not required Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees Adapt to the changing needs of the organization, its patients and the market Actively contribute to a positive, congenial working environment Actively contribute to enhancing patient experienceThe Patient Service Associate is responsible for all front desk operations, which include, but are not limited to: Scheduling patients Answering phones Scanning medical records Triage patient phone calls for severity/importance Collection of insurance information and verification or benefits Charge entry and payment postingAbout the company
