What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Enter referral information into EMR system
- Schedule wound care visits and provide schedules to host facility contact
- Verify insurance benefits and obtain preauthorization for procedures
- Monitor DME orders and assist with follow-up of lab/test results
- Practice effective customer service skills with patients, colleagues, and vendors
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Substantial experience in a front desk role in a hospital outpatient or medical practice setting
- Intermediate skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Experience working with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- 0-2 years of experience in a healthcare-related service
- Professional in appearance and actions
- Passed pre-employment requirements
