What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Greet and assist all patients and visitors with a positive attitude, ensuring they feel comfortable and valued
- Maintain confidentiality while collecting and organizing important patient and business documents
- Analyze health insurance benefits, verify eligibility, and provide patients with relevant payment policies
- Determine and collect each patient’s financial responsibility, ensuring transparency about costs
- Assist the practice manager, providers, and other staff members as needed to ensure smooth daily operations
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Administrative Assistant certificate is a plus
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask in a busy environment
- Proficiency with computer skills and experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) software, EPIC preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including some weekends and holidays
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting beyond the required 1 year
- Familiarity with healthcare regulatory requirements such as HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Previous experience in quality assurance programs or managing patient result trackers
