      Job summary

      We are currently seeking a reliable, resilient, hard-working and organised Part-Time employee to join our Patient services team .This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a healthcare setting and is looking to make a positive difference in the local community.

      Main duties of the job

      • Ensuring patient queries are dealt with efficiently and effectively whether by online, phone or in person
      • Ensuring calls are answered promptly and in line with practice protocols
      • Ensuring all requests for appointments both routine and emergency are signposted correctly
      • To process repeat prescription requests
      • To advise patients re lab results as directed
      • Provide annual leave and sickness cover where required

      About us

      We are a practice of 7500 patients situated in the Boughton Heath area of Chester. We have a clinical team of GPs, ANPs and Practice Nurses delivering high quality health care. The practice is one of four in the Chester East Primary Care Network (PCN). We work closely with our PCN colleagues and are further developing our workforce as a group. The PCN has recently employed a team of Care coordinators, clinical pharmacists, and a Pharmacy Technician. We also have Mental Health and Social Prescribing Link workers.

      • Greeting patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
      • Answering phone calls and handling patient inquiries efficiently
      • Booking and managing patient appointments using the practices electronic system
      • Completing daily patient tasks
      • Filing of results
      • Processing repeat prescriptions and dealing with medication queries
      • Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate data entry
      • Assisting in the smooth running of the practice by supporting clinical and non-clinical staff
      • Liaising with medical staff and external services as required
      • Always adhering to confidentiality and data protection policies
