      Overview

      Patient Transport contributes to patient care by moving patients throughout the facility via wheelchair, stretcher, bed or other appropriate means. As a member of patient transport you will be working in collaboration with other care givers, including but not limited to, physicians, nursing, techs, and all test sites within the hospital setting.

      Responsibilities

      CPR Certified (LB) and responds to “CODE Blue” Medical Emergency to move patient and perform CPR if needed during the code. Demonstrated the knowledge of patient and workplace safety, which is a priority by preventing errors, accident and cross contamination and reporting potential or actual concerns immediately. Balances team and individual responsibilities; objective and open to others views, gives and welcomes feedback, contributes to positive team goals, puts success of the team above own interests. Demonstrates the UnityPoint Health Values and Standards of Behaviors as well as adheres to policies and procedures and safety guidelines. Demonstrates ability to meet business needs of department with regular, reliable attendance.

      Qualifications

      High School Diploma or equivalent. Previous Patient Transport helpful but not required. 6 months of customer service required. BLS ( will be obtained during training), MOAB (will be obtained during training).
