  • Job Description

      Req#: 246508

      Prepares surgery suite for surgical procedures. Functions as a "sterile" member of the surgical team during procedures. Responsible for providing appropriate instrumentation and supplies to the surgeon in using aseptic technique. Participates in the daily activities of the department as an active team member Demonstrates proficiency in delivering care to assigned age specific patient population (e.g., infants, adolescents, adults, geriatrics, pediatrics), and participates in related continuing education.

      Required Qualifications:

      • Course in surgical technology or equivalent educ/experience
        • On the job training
      • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
      • Sufficient related experience

      Preferred Qualifications:

      • Upon hire: National Certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) issued by the Liaison Council on Certification for the Surgical Technologist
