Job Description
- Req#: PATIE008354
- Transport patients to/from various areas of the Hospital
- Assist department staff with patient transfers and other needs
- Respond to call lights and provide assistance
- Practice acceptable isolation techniques
- Assure patient transportation equipment is serviceable
- Initiate CPR, as needed
- Collaborate inpatient orders with front desk and modalities to identify patient arrival times
- Assure adequate mobile oxygen supply
- Utilize software to track patient transport tasks as appropriate
- Coordinate patient flow with all areas of the hospital
- Assist with physical patient transfer and movement
- Read, write, and follow verbal or written instructions
- Maintain CPR certification
- Work independently and professionally
- LMH is accredited by DNV and TJC, and as such, may require specific annual education related to specialty certifications and standards.

Position Summary
This individual will be responsible for transporting patients throughout the hospital. According to established policies and procedures, performs patient care activities in order to assist health care providers in performing various technical and clerical procedures in the patient care area.
