05/31/2024 - Must possess a Master’s Degree and a valid PA certification in one of the following: Special Education PK-12, School Psychology, Special Education Supervision or Administrative Certificate, or Speech Language Pathologist
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification preferred
- Expertise and experience in one or more of the following areas: special education, behavior, and autism
- Experience providing coaching, technical assistance, and professional development
- Ability to work effectively with professional personnel in educational agencies
- Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI
- Respond to PDE, BSE and eastern region IUs’ and their districts’ requests for technical assistance
- Provide onsite instructional coaching and technical assistance in classrooms
- Provide coaching to school teams including administrators to develop and implement action plans to support systemic change
- Create and provide professional development for teachers, administrators, and IU personnel in the education of students with disabilities
- Plan and participate in regional and statewide conferences, workshops and planning sessions
- Assist in the preparation of publication materials (i.e., directories, brochures, training modules, manuals, and electronic resources)
- Some overnight travel is required

- Paid time off benefits. A vacancy exists for an Educational Consultant to work for the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit at PaTTAN - East! The Educational Consultant provides expertise in the areas of special education, behavior, and autism to respond to PDE, BSE and eastern region IUs’ and their districts’ requests for technical assistance and provide professional development.

PaTTAN - East is located at 333 Technology Drive Malvern, PA 19355.
Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 12 months (194 days/year)
Eligible to work up to 35 supplemental days/year
2024 - 2025 Salary:
Master’s, Step 1: $63,582/year
Master's+30, Step 1: $70,570/year
*Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master’s Degree.
