What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Communicate with providers, medical office staff, insurance carriers, and licensing agencies to manage health plan enrollment and applications
- Create health plan provider rosters and clinic reports, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Prepare verification letters and maintain the database and provider profiling systems
- Troubleshoot reimbursement issues and claim processing errors
- Track project and application action items, following up with providers as necessary
What is Required (Qualifications):
- High school diploma or equivalent GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a clerical or administrative role
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to analyze and calculate fee schedules for various contracts
- Proficiency in using database management systems
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Associate's Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Previous healthcare experience
- Familiarity with provider contracting processes and healthcare regulations
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of insurance carrier processes and government applications
