      Payments Investigations Analyst

      As a Barclays Payments Investigations Analyst, you will be working within Global Payments who are a utility service providing payments processing, monitoring, analysis and investigation services across the Barclays group. You will be responsible for providing in-depth specialist support for product work / stream, as well as managing the analysis of existing work practices – system and procedural – identifying and implementing areas for improvement.

      We are currently operating in a hybrid working environment, meaning that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in.       What will you be doing?
      • Providing operational support for investigations and data processes, as well as maintaining in-depth SME knowledge
      • Accurately and timely processing payment investigation and data requests within agreed deadlines, dealing with referrals and escalations into team mailboxes
      • Providing operational support for investigations and data processes across multiple products, payment platforms, currencies, payment schemes and client groups
      • Managing relationships and end to end performance management for all global teams
      • Operating as a primary contact for issues, including system and procedural issues.
      • Managing the analysis of existing work practices – system and procedural – identifying and implementing areas for improvement
      • Delivering productivity increases through the continuous improvement and technical development of all areas of the team
      • Providing support to the analysts within your team, to operate as primary source of in depth specialist expertise and reference for complex and technical queries

      What we’re looking for:
      • Proven experience in a fast paced and high risk operational / Customer Services area including complex problem resolution and proven ability in advanced communication
      • Interpersonal skills – listening, verbal, written communication, as well as presentation skills, time and self-organisation skills and advanced problem solving
      • In-depth knowledge of content of Technical Reference Guides & Group Instructions and a thorough understanding of Group Governance
      • Detailed knowledge of risk requirements, tools, practices and procedures applicable to relevant policies and processes.
