What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Review payment submissions for completeness and accuracy, including salary differentials and payroll reconciliations
- Assist with departmental inquiries and ticketing queues, responding to employee questions in a timely manner
- Determine necessary payroll actions based on departmental submissions and verify personnel/job changes
- Coordinate with HRIS and the university community to ensure timely payroll input and resolve discrepancies
- Setup and maintain tax withholding and direct deposit accounts, while identifying and addressing incorrect payments

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of Bachelor's Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of relevant professional experience in payroll or accounting
- Working knowledge of wage and hour regulations and payroll tax withholdings
- Proficiency in payroll software and intermediate skills in Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification
