Payroll Tax Accountant

Job Description
- Req#: 04NSP
- Responsible for timely and accurate payroll tax reporting
- Manage timely and accurate completion of monthly black-book account reconciliations for all business entities within Bath & Body Works
- Own payroll tax reconciliation, payroll tax journal entry preparation, and quarterly and annual tax filings. Partner with the payroll operations group to make necessary adjustments before finalizing the file.
- Manage analysis of all tax inquiries and notices promptly, including state jurisdictions, the federal government, local taxing authorities, and Canadian provinces
- Participate in testing of Oracle upgrades or tax updates
- Payroll disbursement accounting and reconciliation
- Support key payroll initiatives and projects
- Conduct tax audits to ensure compliance with standards of operation
- Research and respond to associate payroll tax inquiries; manage associate tax changes as applicable
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Partners in Digital IT, Associate Connect, Benefits and Human Resources to understand current processes and make recommendations for improvements as needed
- Minimum of 2 - 3 years’ experience in Payroll Tax and Accounting
- Excellent customer service skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Demonstrated initiative and drive to achieve results and goals
- Demonstrates strong analytical skills, including experience analyzing data and making recommendations based on analysis
- Ability to execute tasks in a thorough, composed, accurate, and timely fashion while managing multiple, competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with Oracle HCM, ADP Smart Compliance and SAP Financials is preferred
- Advanced PC skills, including Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Fluent in French and English
