      Job Description

      Job Summary:

      Responsible for managing cost controller/accounting functions for FLIR Unmanned Aerial Systems AS (Norway). Maintaining the company cost accounting systems and controls. Responsible for reporting financial data, product line activity and the financial reporting of overall inventory and gross margin.

      DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

      • Oversee the data collection, cost allocation, and report preparation for material purchases, labor, repairs, assemblies and overhead expenses to ensure established processes are in place and procedures are followed.
      • Verify proper allocation of cost data, investigate unusual cost records, analyze actual vs standard costs, and prepare reports containing recommendations of the results of these studies.
      • Develop current and projected cost/rate analysis for pricing and budgeting purposes. Assist in preparation of the revenue plan and budget. Prepare costing reports for divisions by comparing budget to actual, as needed.
      • Investigate cost structures for new and existing service and products.
      • Responsible for overseeing/auditing counting and analysis of inventory on a quarterly and annual basis.
      • Responsible for preparation and review of periodic gross margin activities by product/division.
      • Responsible for tracking service/warranty costs.
      • Responsible for analysis and reporting of monthly operating variances by plants.
      • Responsible for analysis for BOM changes and subsequent cost impact by plants/products. Assist in margin forecast and preparation for quarterly QMR

      REQUIREMENTS:

      • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required.
      • Must have a minimum of 3-5 years of financial and cost accounting experience.
      • Must have experience working with Standard and Actual costing
      • Must have good experience with working knowledge of Excel, Pivot table
      • Experience in manufacturing cost data and engineering projects.
      • Must have experience working with all levels of management.
      • SAP experience required.
