What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Process hourly unionized payroll accurately and timely under the direction of the Payroll Manager
- Work with unions to interpret and update wage schedules and burden tables
- Handle payroll inquiries from both internal and external stakeholders
- Prepare annual T4, RL1, T2200, and other year-end payroll requirements
- Set up new employees and manage terminations with Records of Employment (ROE)
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Completed PCP designation through the National Payroll Institute
- Minimum of 3 years of work experience in payroll processing
- Experience in a unionized construction environment is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a deadline-driven environment
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Familiarity with JD Edwards or other ERP systems
- Experience working in a fast-paced payroll environment
