- Reviews and manages compilation and entry of hours worked, rates, master file information, taxes, insurance, and other items necessary to timely process the payroll for STIHL employees.
- Timekeeping and Payroll systems super-user, helping to coordinate and administer system training, reporting, upgrades and revisions.
- Analyzes bi-weekly pay cycles and prepares funding check requests. Assures time critical processes such as "begin new," receive" and "translate" report files after a regular pay cycle.
- Provides consultation and/or advice to employees and/or supervisors regarding tax, compensation or interpretation of Company policy.
- Interacts and advises employees and supervisors relating to payroll, timekeeping, garnishment issues, etc. up to and including making decisions and/or recommendations regarding these areas.
- Maintains all payroll reimbursements to employees. Reviews labor activity codes and cost centers to ensure accurate general ledger reporting.
- Research issues pertaining to new and existing tax jurisdictions. Reconciles general ledger accounts to payroll register on monthly basis.
- Assists with monthly and annual closings, annual planning and special projects as needed.
- Creates upload for bonus programs as necessary.
- Creates ad-hoc reports from variety of systems, to include attendance hours, G/L, payroll, and monthly reporting to management.
- Assists in review of payroll processes for improvements in reporting and efficiency.
- UKG experience preferred.
- Assumes additional related responsibilities as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 3+ years of related experience preferred.
- FPC Certification desirable.
- Performs work under general supervision.
- Handles moderately complex issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
