      Role

      The Payroll and Benefits Specialist role is essential in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll, administering employee benefits, and supporting a wide range of HR operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll systems, benefits administration, compliance requirements, and be able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. This position will report to the HR Director, NA and be located in Cranberry Township, PA.


      Duties and Responsibilities


      Payroll Processing

      • Process multi-state biweekly payroll and weekly expense payroll accurately and timely
      • Complete biweekly 401(k) reporting and enrollment submissions
      • Administer and oversee bonus related programs
      • Set up, deduct, and coordinate child support, wage garnishments, and tax levies, working with Finance to ensure proper accounting procedures are followed
      • Audit and process new hires, terminations, and employee changes in Paylocity, ensuring correct tax setup and benefit elections
      • Manage federal, state and local tax updates and reporting requirements

      Benefits Administration

      • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions and enrollments
      • Maintain and audit benefit enrollment across all benefit vendors
      • Administers HSA and FSA programs
      • Leads all open enrollment activities including Benefit Broker communication, HRIS setup, organizing open enrollment meetings and contributes to plan designs
      • Manages disability leave programs for proper pay and approvals for STD, LTD and FMLA
      • Oversees ACA and additional benefit reporting requirements

      HR Support & Compliance

      • Supports recruiting and onboarding efforts for PGNA, including co-op program coordination (resumes, offers, and onboarding)
      • Owns federal, state and local reporting requirements including EEO reporting, unemployment claim submittals and labor statistics reporting
      • Oversees annual payroll and compliance audits for HR
      • Manages HRIS communications for milestone anniversaries and system updates to employees

      Requirements

      • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
      • Minimum 3 years of experience in payroll and benefits administration
      • Proficiency with Paylocity or similar HRIS/Payroll systems
      • Strong knowledge of state/federal payroll and benefits regulations
      • High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail
      • Proven ability to communicate effectively to all employees
      • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to work with complex data
