2 years of professional accounting experience in public service or a higher education environment. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 12 months of experience, and an Associate's degree may substitute for 6 months.
Two years of the required experience must include completing complex account reconciliations.
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to apply logic and sound professional judgement in situations.
Technical knowledge of business systems to understand the interrelationships of data within various modules.
Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and practices sufficient to analyze, interpret, and prepare financial information records and reports; locate errors; and recommend solutions to procedural and other fiscal problems.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, management or related field.
Advanced skill level using Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, and Outlook), Internet, and web-based systems.
Demonstrated ability to manipulate and analyze large amounts of data.
Experience working in a higher education environment.
Experience with Minnesota Management and Budget's SEMA4 system
Experience with the Workday system

$23.63 - $34.18Job Description
The purpose of this position is to assist with completing the weekly accounting functions associated with employee payroll and expense reimbursement. Highly technical reconciliation skills and extensive knowledge of payroll accounting practices must be used to ensure that all the college's payroll transactions and reimbursements are accurately processed in a timely manner. The position will also complete financial activities for grant recording.
Salary Range
$23.63 - $34.18 Hourly
