      Payroll Coordinator – Contract Role (Houston, TX – Hybrid)
      $30–$33/hour
      Houston, TX
      Contract through end of year | Possible extension

      A leading global organization is seeking a Payroll Coordinator to support domestic payroll processing and day-to-day operations. This onsite hybrid role requires in-office presence Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday (no exceptions) and offers an opportunity to contribute to a collaborative, fast-paced payroll environment.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Prepare, audit, and reconcile biweekly and off-cycle payroll using data from various systems

      • Ensure compliance with tax, payroll, and general ledger processes

      • Collaborate with HR and Benefits teams to maintain data integrity and resolve discrepancies

      • Process garnishments and termination payments in compliance with regulations

      • Assist with quarterly/year-end processing, audits, W2/W2C handling, and payroll reporting

      • Respond to payroll-related inquiries from employees and management

      • Support GL research, off-cycle pay runs, and special projects as needed

      Requirements:

      • 3+ years of payroll experience processing multi-state payroll for a large employer

      • Proficiency in ADP Payforce, Enterprise, or Vantage

      • Strong Excel skills (advanced functions preferred)

      • Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities

      • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

      • Ability to prioritize and meet time-sensitive deadlines

      • Oracle or SAP experience is a plus

      • FPC or CPP certification preferred
