What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Assist the Payroll Manager with all aspects of payroll to ensure accurate and timely employee payments
- Perform payroll data entry and update employee details as necessary
- Answer employee inquiries related to payroll matters, including 1099s and W2s
- Maintain accurate tax records and assist with tax research and applications in new states
- Process and audit employee expense reimbursements in accordance with company policies
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Comprehensive understanding of tax regulations and payroll processes
- Good communication and organizational skills
- Prior experience in payroll is highly beneficial
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with payroll software systems
- Familiarity with employee benefits and invoicing
- Knowledge of multi-state payroll regulations
- Previous experience in an auditing role related to payroll
