      Payroll Processor

      Location: Greenwood Village, CO

      Hourly Compensation: $26.00/hr

      Overview

      Responsible for data input into payroll system, process biweekly and weekly payrolls, and verify accuracy and completeness of all payroll transactions.

      ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES

      • Respond to and resolve all payroll inquiries from the Regional Payroll Departments and make corresponding changes to the payroll system, as necessary. Report to the Payroll Supervisor any problems/changes that cannot be resolved.

      • Process weekly and biweekly payroll runs, print auto deposits and checks attachments, process bank files and positive pay files for each payroll run. Issue manual checks and corresponding voids to ensure accurate year-to-date earnings for all company locations. Send on positive pay files on a daily basis to the various banks.

      • Process weekly and biweekly journal entries to post to the general ledger for each payroll run completed. Verify accuracy of the journals and correct any errors before posting to the general ledger.

      • Update and maintain the stop payment, reversal, and manual check logs. Research and resolve all outstanding checks received from bank reconciliations department.

      • Assist with yearend processing of W2 and W2C’s. Answer all inquiries received by employees about year-end earnings information and W2/W2C forms.

      • Must maintain confidentiality and adhere to all company policies and procedures.

      • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.

      • Perform other duties as assigned

      QUALIFICATIONS

      Experience:

      • Data entry or word processing experience

      • One year experience with automated accounting/payroll system

      • Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts

      Education:

      • High School Diploma or GED

      Skills:

      • Intermediate knowledge of MS Office Suite

      • Ability to balance multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines

      • Detail oriented with ability to analyze and audit

      • Effective oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills
