Gettysburg College is seeking a full-time support staff Payroll Services Specialist to join our team. This position is responsible for processing the College’s bi-weekly payrolls for faculty, staff and student employees, ensuring compliance with all applicable federal, state, local, and foreign national resident alien laws and regulations. The Payroll Services Specialist is responsible for reconciling and preparing deposits for federal, state, local and other tax withholdings and payments; verifying employee tax documentation, including W-4’s and various state withholding tax forms; reconciling, preparing, and filing quarterly and annual tax reporting (i.e. Form 941, W-2, and W-3); preparing and submitting new hire reports to the Bureau of Labor Statistics and the State of Pennsylvania; and assisting the Human Resources Functional Analyst in testing and implementing upgrades and patches for PeopleSoft Human Resources/Payroll module.This position reports to the Assistant Controller and collaborates regularly with the payroll coordinator.About the company
